About us
Who we are, and why we are doing this
FC Isar Robotics is a student team at TU Munich building autonomous humanoid robots that play football. We are on the way to the RoboCup World Championship in Nürnberg in June 2027.
Who we are
A student team at TU Munich, working inside RoboTUM, one of Germany's largest student robotics initiatives, with scientific supervision and advisors across the university.
What we do
We buy a proven competition body, the Booster T2, and create everything that makes it play: perception, state estimation, walking and balance, behaviour and team play. In the RoboCup Humanoid League nobody holds a controller, so every decision is generated and executed on the robot itself.
Why we do it
Munich is one of Europe's leading robotics locations and still has no RoboCup team. Humanoid football is a hard, public test of autonomy. And students learn fastest when their code has to work on a real robot, in front of a crowd.
